The Story of the Oldest Living Flower on Earth (32,000 Year-Old)

Tidak dapat tidak saya mesti update status dengan bunga pra sejarah ini. Amat menarik untuk pengetahuan semua peminat bunga atau yang minat gardening.

The Story of the Oldest Living Flower on Earth (32,000 Year-Old)

➊ First, scientists discovered – in a fossilized squirrel burrow in Siberia – remnants of the ice-age flowering plant Silene stenophylla. The plant had been buried at a depth of 38 meters in sediments with a temperature of −7°.

➋ Next, radiocarbon dating of the plants seemed to show that an ancient squirrel stashed them around 31,800 years ago, just before ice rolled into the area near the Kolya river.

➌ Then, scientists used growth hormone to coax silene stenophylla back to life and eventually, back to bloom. They are now, according to the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences report ” the most ancient, viable, multicellular, living organisms.”

Apa kata anda? Hebatkan....

Ini pulak gambar tempat fosil benih bunga dijumpai.

Kita bernasib baik sebab para saintis berjaya menjumpai fosil biji benih Silene stenophylla. Maka dapatlah kita tahu tentang kewujudan bunga ini. Lebih bernasib baik kerana biji benih tersebut berjaya dibiakkan di makmal dan akhirnya berbunga.

Kalau diperhatikan pokoknya, daun macam rosemary, bunganya pun macam pernah kulihat, dimana yaaa....:D
